and dont you think vinyl sounds better than cd's

Remember that originally there was cylinders and then 78 RPM records. These revolved fast so that the data could be recorded clearly with good seperation between the tracks, because they were played with a needle that looked like a darning needle.
Then "hi-fi" was invented and the smaller stylus was invented, with electronic amplification. So they could be smaller disks (7 inch) and the rotation slower. At the same time LP's became available but to enable the amount of data to be stored (on a 12 inch disk) they needed to rotate slower... at 33 RPM. But also remember that the physical speed of 12 inches at 33 is similar to 7 inch at 45.

I think it's the size. And I like cd's better, I heard some people think vinyl is better but only when new. All those scratchs are annoying.
