Is it near a college or high school? If so - put a coupon in their school paper (usually pretty cheap to advertise there) offering free drinks with the pizza or whatever. If you give people good service and pizza the first time they come in - they'll be back. Not knowing much about your demographics - it's hard to say. But good luck!

My parents bought a pizza restaurant when I was a kid, and it was a popular high school hang out. It was an established business, so all he had to do was keep the menu consistant with what our customers were used to. His 1st year he made $31,000 (this was 1971)! If you want to draw in new customers, I would put a coupon in the paper for buy 1 get 1 free. It takes $$$ to make $$$, and this marketing practice was popular in the 80's.

Depends on the neighborhood and what type of customers you want. You could target teens and early 20's with music, funky decor etc, or families with with a nicer place to sit etc. You really need to look at who your customers are now and who your potential customers could be. But in the end, you gotta have good pizza and good service. As for marketing, you gotta look to your customers again. Teens and early 20's use the local school/college newspaper, radio station etc.; for families best to get into the clip ads that the local grocery stores utilize, that is where most Mom's are looking and they are the ones choosing meals for the family.

Little Caesars is doing that "Hot and Ready" $5 Pizzas. I think that is the best idea a pizza place has done since pepperoni.
I also see other pizza places follwing suite. Im sure it will sell a lot of pizzas.

I have a great idea that used to work in a department store where I worked. At the end of each grading period in the school district you're in ,send out little coupons for a free drink say for perfect attendance or honor roll. We used to give free icees. It will get people into your store which is what you want. Good luck on your new adventure.

coupons are always a big hit, they are great for bringing in people. Be ready for that wave though, or you might just make a lot of people disappointed and thus they will spread the news! Make sure you know what you're doing...a hungry crowd is nothing to trifle with!

You should buy print ads in local newspapers and club newsletters. You could also try sponsoring a local little league team. Another good idea is to send out flyers.
