I am some where between 12 and 14 weeks pregnant (first ultrasound in a couple weeks to find out) and I have had continual discharge, sometimes it seems very thick, whitish yellow in color, other times ( and more recently) its watery and whitish clear. I am worried that I am leaking fluid or something, Its sort of blob-like (too much info, sorry) and not really watery, more like mucous when you blow your nose. Any thoughts of if this is normal?

It's normal but if its yellowish, has a awful smell, or w/ blood go see your Doctor.

It doesn't sound anything like leaking water. It doesn't sound like any emergency, but let your doctor or midwife know. It is quite common for women, especially pregnant women to have vaginal infections and not have a lot (or any) symptoms. You might have a yeast infection (not all will cause itching) or bacterial vaginosis (usually has very few symptoms, but when it does symptoms can include profuse discharge and frequently a foul odor, especially after sex.)

It is also possible that nothing is wrong! Some women have a bit more discharge while pregnant (called leukorrhea.)

This is very normal, most doctor's just expect you to have this. It's just another LOVELY symptom of pregnancy. Right now (I'm 19 weeks along) I'm experiencing this, running nose, itchy eyes, pimples, bright blue veins on my breasts, and I just look fat instead of pregnant (I was fairly skinny before.) My doctor says that you will have more discharge from that region and from the nose while pregnant. I love being pregnant, no doubt about it, but I definately don't feel sexy in anyway.

Sounds totally normal and I think the further along you are the more discharge you get.....uggggh it should never have a foul odor to it, if that happens then talk with your dr could be a sign of infection. I have found wearing liners to be helpful. Guess its just one of those things are friends forgot to tell us about when giving out pregnancy advice.

I had a similar thing and it was fine...If it smells very badly though, talk to your ob doctor. It is not your fluid leaking but is just a normal mucous that your body makes....more of while you're pregnant than not.

totally normal, most females experiance an increase in a whiteish discharge while being pregnant, however, if the discharge starts turning yellowish, becomes itchy and foul smelling you may want to get checked out...if it were your mucous plug there would be strikes of brownish bloody stuff in in...I hope this is helpful...

I always been one who always has a lot of discharge. I have had 3 children and it was even worse when I was pregnant. I wouldn't worry to much. Call your doctor and he/she will tell you what to watch for.

If it is yellow you should have it checked out but this discharge if it is white is perfectly normal. Mine is kind of blobby too sometimes.

completely normal...i thought it was fluid also during my pregnancy, but it's just normal discharge. you will probably continue to get it throughout your entire pregnancy.
