Ive been a Preston supporter for nearly 20yrs now. I was devastated when Billy Davies left us for Derby last season as it was us that gave him the chance in the first place, then we sold Claude Davis, our Player of the Year and i really thought we were going to struggle this season. Credit to Paul Simpson who has done an excellent job and i hope we go up automatically this time around. The gulf between the Premiership and the Championship seems too great to stay up as we don't have too much transfer funds but i would like the oppurtunity to be proven wrong. C'mon you Lilywhites, lets keep hold of Nuge and Simon Whaley.

I have been very impressed with North End this season, and they have also been unlucky the last few seasons. Looks like they could be the next Reading or Wigan but i think the key to their promotion this season will be hanging on to David Nugent in the January transfer window. If he is sold to a Premiership club I think they could find it difficult and get knocked out of the play-offs again, but if they manage to hold of him i think they will go up this year.

Yes im pretty certain they will do it this season, they have probabley the second best home record in the country behind Chelsea,i think its 28 games since Preston last lost at home, and if they snatch the aways wins like they did on Saturday at Leicester they should get up into the premiership

As a Leicester supporter in Canada I listened to today’s game over the internet. You played well and deserved the win. I would say you have a very good chance of going up, staying up is another matter altogether

i certainly desire so with us appointing Darren Ferguson as supervisor. i'm no longer able to help feeling nonetheless that we've not have been given the money and aspects to maintain our astounding gamers including Nugent, St Leger etc and till Hemmings places his money the place his mouth is then i think of we would be a Championship component for an prolonged time. we're not a super club, in no way would be and to compete for fulfillment in this branch, a super injection of money is mandatory. PNETID!

I do not think you have a strong enough squad to last a 46 game season. You play well but have you got competition for places and cover for injuries and suspensions? i think not.

the only way you will manage it is to hang on in for the lottery of the play offs, but will you have the nerve to go through that again??

Good result today especially with Cardiff getting beat and looking strong at the moment, but the championship is so tight and a long way to go yet, its going to be a battle all the way, I'm a saints fan for my sins so if you do go up hopefully we will be coming with you, cracking result for us today to. good luck for the rest of the season

sounds good to me but i would like cardiff come up as well good luck.
i went to cardiff to see walsall play reading in a play off. the preston players (who were playing the next day) were stood on a gantry in their preston tops outside their hotel aplauding the walsall fans as they came out the ground.it was a nice touch that rounded off a great day. i'll never forget it.

Has it really been 42 years? Given their contribution to the early chapters of the game, it would be fitting to have them back in the top flight.

I hope so. They are a big team and deserve to be back in the top flight after being absent for so long.
