I am 10 weeks pregnant and i "feel" like i am having a boy not because of extra sickness or any of that I just keep calling it a "he" but i really want a girl. My husband and his mom both think its a boy too... but it is obviously still to early to see in the ultrasound.... i know that there is no way of knowing for sure until its born (ultrasounds can be wrong) but what were your experiences... was your "feeling" right?

I couldn't have been more off!!!

First time mom and I was CONVINCED I was having a girl, I even took the quizzes and I was like 80% supposed to be having a girl!! We went to the ultrasound...surprise!!!! Ben has been shocking me ever since! He's amazing.

Don't get your hopes up one way or another, but my ob told me 9/10 times "mom's intuition" is off before you have the baby!

Best of luck to you, your family, and your little one on the way!! :)

I always wanted a boy, But with my first two I knew that we were going to have girls, I can't explain why, it was just a feeling, and we have two girls. Now I am 22 weeks pregnant, and felt as if I was having a boy in the beginning, but I then talked myself out of it. I come from a family of all girls 5 to be exact. I am the second oldest. My older sister first had a little girl, then 10 years later finally the first boy of our family was born. In my husband's family it is the opposite, ALL boys, so when we had girls they loved it.
Anyway, I had talked myself out of having a boy, even though I felt I was having a boy, I didn't think it was possible for me. So two weeks ago, when the doctor was doing an ultrasound, and said we were having a BOY, I was totally shocked.
Don't ignore your feeling, but it isn't always right!
Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!
I agree with Holly D, I had awful headaches this time, and with my girls I craved hot dogs, with this pregnancy I craved salad with grilled chicken. Also this baby is VERY low in my stomach. My others were higher. And it seems like the weight isn't just in the front of my stomach as it was with my girls, but it goes to the sides of my stomach also this time.

I always felt like I was having a boy while everyone thought it was a girl. I always wanted all boys so maybe that influenced my train of thought.

You can't predict your child's sex by sickness or high or low carrying, color of your urine, etc. All of that depends on your individual body.

My cousin has 3 girls. She never once had an ultrasound to find out baby's sex. They loved the suprise. Her first pregnancy was beautiful, no sickness etc. - GIRL Second one was horrible. She was hospitalized so much for sickness and blood pressure - GIRL Last one was morning sickness in the beginning and perfect the rest of the way - GIRL

She had all girls...yet 3 VERY different pregnancys. They really tried for a boy the last two times and she thought she was having a boy just because of her previous pregnancy and hear say theories. They were very sad when they found out no boys. But they love their girls to death and will work on a boy soon.

I'm doing the same thing right now (I'm 19 weeks along.) I'm calling it a boy. I don't know why. Part of me thinks it's because I want a girl and I'm getting myself ready for a boy, the other part is my husband's side of the family all tell me it has to be a boy (he's the only boy on that side of the family, all other blood relatives are girls.) I'd be happy with a boy, we want to have two kids, I just want to make sure one of them is a girl.

i could not possibly tell you how i felt because i have always wanted a little girl and now i am stuck with the 2 best stinky little boys you could ever ask for. some hints as to what it could be, just little things i have heard from people along the way, with boys you normally crave more junkier food and with girls you normally crave healthier foods not sncks, like mexican food or steaks or whatever, girls are usually carried higher than boys but i am not so sure about that because the first one was in my ribs and the second one was on my bladder, women who i have talked to when hte were pregnant seemed to get more severe frequent headaches than those who were pregnant with girls. the best way i can tell you to figure it out is the gender htat you honestly deep down feel it is. your gut is usually the one to follow
hope this helped, holly

One of the best things about being a woman is are instincts they are usually always right. But in this case it is hard to tell. Boys are more easily conceived than girls. Try to be as patient as you can be. Just for fun you can google Chinese lunar calendar and see what it says. Good luck to you and let us know the outcome.

i thought my daughter was a boy until i found out at 20 weeks...both of our families believed it was a boy, and my father in law always guesses what family members are having and he was never wrong...until he guessed i was having a boy and we weren't. we even picked out only boy names and referred to the baby as a boy. when we found out we were having a girl we thought it wasn't true. it took 2 more ultrasounds for us to be completely convenced! so feelings mean nothing at this point...just wait 10 more weeks and you will find out what God intended for you to have!
good luck and congradulations!

I hit the nail on the head both times......2 girls. I also knew they would have blue eyes even though I have brown eyes (should have been the dominant gene).
