When you insert the device, you can go into my computer and see if it says "drives with removable storage" or something like that. When I plug mine in, it asks me what I want to do. To save data, click "save as" from the file menu, and choose your removable device. Then click ok. If it still doesn't show, you may need to install a driver. Only way I know to do that is check www.driverguide.com or the manufacturer's website. The latter may be easier. If you are using Windows 98, it may not work at all. I had that problem. But most other versions should be ok. Hope thisn helps!

A USB garage gadget does no longer get broken with the help of ability of being pulled out of the port. the only ingredient(s) that could desire to get broken could desire to be the easily information. If a rfile is being examine/written to together as the stick is pulled out, there is an possibility that the rfile on the stick could desire to be corrupted. Doing a "thoroughly do away with Hardware" or "eject" technique would be certain no longer some thing is being examine or written, and subsequently keeping rfile corruption to an rather very low quantity, if any in any admire. Any time a "thoroughly do away with Hardware" or "eject" technique fails it oftentimes ability some thing is being accessed on the tension itself.

Don't need to setup. Just plug it and you're ready to go.
Unless you have a Windows98/2000 computer then you may have to install the included driver. It should come with a CD.

Good luck!
