When a woman's ovaries both release an egg or one ovary produces two eggs it is possible for her to get pregnant with fraternal twins.

Women are born with 2 ovaries.

Only one need work to become pregnant.

Very VERY rarely is a woman born with 2 sets of ovaries. That is a medical abnormality.

The body knows when to release an egg and the ovaries take turns producing an egg. Example: The left ovary produces one in January and the right ovary produces one in February, etc.

Is it normal to get your period every two weeks? Not usually. I would go see your doctor to talk about any health problems you may be having. There is a good chance he/she will put you on birth control to even out your periods.

It depends on how old you are -- in terms of "is it normal to have periods every 2 weeks."; you have to look at everything in your life -- are you getting enough rest, proper nutrition, etc. Has anything changed? It wouldn't hurt to have a physical to find out more. I wish you well!

Almost all women have two ovaries.... one on either side of the uterus; connected to it by fallopian tubes. We're born that way.
