You don't say what firewall you have. Although almost all of the firewall work the same. When you open IE7 for the first time you firewall should pop up from your tray an ask you to allow the ports that IE7 uses. Then you will say allow or deny.
If this is not happening either your firewall is no good and IE7, is not installed properly. A little advise. You are going to find that IE7 is going to slow your entire system down to a crawl. I tested all three beta versions an installed the final IE7. Removed as it slowed my pc to a complete crawl. Went back to IE6 and the problem was resolved.

what is the issue you are facing after installing? I never faced any problems and it is working fine.
