What is the best way going to get Emancipated?

Now take in mind, I'm not some whiny teenager looking for a way out. There is many circumstances under this.

Without knowing the exacts of the situation there is absolutely no way of knowing how to proceed with any advice here that is valid

It can be said though---if you are a person living within the developed nations of the world---there are already laws in place that validate your rights to be emancipated and a free individual --- so you DO have THAT going for you......

Depending on how dependant upon the object of your situation you are----you could be in for a struggle to become independant because with emancipation comes the responsibility of self reliance and maintainance----ALSO here---there are agencies that are quite wide spread that can assist you in a beginnings in THIS thing too

If it is a circumstance of someone who is lording over you and not allowing you your rights of free choice---look for an agency that can help you leave this situation---go to the police and they will gladly give you the names and numbers of the people that deal with THIS sort of thing on a daily basis and know the exacts of what you should do to be free of it all--- they can also assist you in other matters too !!!

To go through the legal system and you have to be 16 in all that have emancipation laws (NH does not) and meet requirements like be in school or have graduated. Have a stable place to live, have a source of income! California is the only state with the age of 14! What were they thinking?)

Good luck, but if I were 16 I would not want to be moving out unless some abuse was taking place, then there are avenues to deal with that! Some may make it work, many wind up pregnant with no father in sight and never finishing HS! You have just set yourself up for a lifetime of misery! I dealt with kids who had kids and either had a boyfriend abusing their children, or were neglecting them!

I walked into a house once during the winter! Downstairs was about 6 people, none the mother of 3 children! There were empty booze containers all over the place and the home smelled like something other than cigarettes had been burning! I went upstairs to the kids room! There was one mattress in the middle of the floor, no light, no heat and 1 Blanket. 3 kids sharing 1 blanket and all in school! The mother when she came home had a pager. Now what do you think she was using that for? How some of these children survived I will never know! These I do as I took them! Yea I know, I am a terrible person from the state who loves to snatch kids! With my caseload, I didn't snatch enough!

I hate to see people destroy their adult lives starting at the age of 16! It is not a pleasant life! Everyone does not end up like that, but more likely than not, they do!

YOU have to PROVE that you can take care of yourself and LIVE with the ADULT Responsibilities of that action (requesting Emancipation).

This means: Do you have a job that: Pays enough to support you totally -- your rent, your food, your clothing, your utilities -- have you taken full responsibility for all contracts that you have entered into -- have you established or finished your HS Education (or are able to do it while employed) -- and you UNDERSTAND and fully accept all ADULT consequences for your Actions -- then ... and only then ... (believe me, the judge is going to look at the evidence of your ability to be responsible fully for your actions and needs) can you apply to become Emancipated.

You have to prove the child is capable of taking care of himself/herself and that staying with the custodial parent is not in the best interest of the child. There is probably more to getting imancipated, but it really varies from state to state.
