This question made me smile.

My grandmothers first husband died in 1959

She did the unthinkable at the time and placed a personal add - she would have been in her late 40's at the time.

The man she met through that add turned out to be the only grandfather I remembered (born in 64). I loved that guy - he was the best and the funniest man I have known.

He passed away in 1982.

A couple of years later she did the same thing again and met another man with a great heart and a huge smile. The never married, and were only (insert finger quotes here) Friends (insert finger quotes here).

I am convinced they would have married and remained so to this day had she not passed away (cancer) 2 years later.

Is there hope?

yep Yep YEP!

I am also looking for that one to love. You just have to believe and keep on believing that there is somebody out there for you. You are probably like me and have tried everything from dating services, bars etc. I have to just keep on believing that someday I will find someone just for me. I have a lot of girls that are friends of mine that I go out with but I know that they are not really the true one for me. But we love to be around each other and like doing different things together. But we are still just really good friends and I do not think of her as a real lover. All I can tell you is you're going to have to do like I do and just keep on trying and hoping. I wish you all the luck in the world but just don't give up because you never know what will happen.

I was 48 when I married the second time. Just imagine what kind of man you want in your life, stick to it, and he will show up. That's what I did. I didn't think it would happen but it did. I guess you can say when you give up, that's when it will happen. I hope this makes since! Good luck, I know it's hard.

i'd say her threat is rather stable, if she's putting herself accessible in the main appropriate circles. ;) you're a calming individual? Get accessible and characteristic relaxing doing in spite of that's you prefer to do, and you will in all threat meet somebody that way. Or, you will desire to attempt on line relationship. stable success to you!
