I think it's a Halloween game where you get an apple using your teeth by putting your head in a bath tub full of water.

Bobbing for apples is a game - a bucket (or something similar) is filled with water and apples are floated in it. Someone then tries to get an apple with his/her mouth, hands behind the back. While they try to get the apples, the apples "bob," or move up and down in the water.
