Well done you.................... How many of us can completely say with hand on heart, we are clean of all the crap?!!!!

Now you have a blank canvas, and empty page, and yes you are feeling like one also.................

Get out there and re-write on your blank page, begin a new chapter in your book.........Make your life happen and paint it on that blank canvas.....................GO and discover who the real you is........................
And remember..................have fun............laugh a little and spend time reflecting upon the new you and the comparison to the old you.......................

Create a liife and dont forget to enjoy it................its the only one we have..................Wishing you well in all you do

Love Faith xx

Jay lo, I have a similar life although I am still wrestling with the food thing. I was told that I have to now learn "How to have fun without booze and drugs". Well, I haven't found out yet. I just keep trying "one day at a time". I don't look to far into the future and I don't play around with the past. I try to go "NO WHERE"... that is "NOW HERE"... stay in the "Now & Here". Do the next right thing. Try to do one good deed for someone each day and don't tell anyone what you did. That is how we get out of ourselves for a while. Keep it simple and give yourself a break. I will try to practice what I preach! Join a support group if you haven't already like A.A. or N.A. or a church or start one of your own! You can do it!

Take an inventory of your interests and substitute the negative activities with positive ones. Exercise is always a good place to start, and a positive addiction like that will, inevitably, create increased motivation and self esteem.
I can't explain the high I felt the first time I completed a 10 K community race. And, hey, I'm a back-of-the-pack runner.

you were obviously working hard on a quest for a new life but you haven't given it enough time to feel comfortable. You also may have stopped short - just shy of what it takes to get comfortable in your new world. A spiritiual journey could be more fun than you think. Check them all out, the Buddists, Catholics, Baptists, Scientology, - whatever strikes your fancy and have fun with the people there. You might find yourself seeking further inside yourself to grow by meditation and the like. A good hobby; something you always wanted to do but never tried, is ripe for you now. Learn to fly or ski or whatever dreams you left behind because of the vices. You have earned your right to go for it, so go for it. Excersise is good for pumping the brain with adreniline, too.

You get a life. Most people adopt a possitive attitude to life and dont squeal when things don't go exactly as they want. By doing what you have done, you have given your body and brain a chance to repair itself. Its quite possible that you may find a different lifestyle brings you into contact with different people who may help you to find pleasures that don't put you in self destruct mode. Its also quite probable that you will meet a female with whom you develop a much deeper relationship than you have had before.

If these were the only things that brought you any pleasure in life then you need to reassess and set some new goals

What are your ambitions and what do you want to acheive with the rest of your life?? Find something to look forward to...get back down to basics and realise that you do not need all these external stimuli to be satisfied and make yourself happy.

Learn to be comfortable with yourself and you will be able to survive anything. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) could help you as it aims to change internal beliefs that affect behaviour and may stem you away from your dependence on these things.

Stopping those above things you mentioned is just the beginning of the journey. Happiness, distress, depression is all ignorance, creation of the mind. The positive thing to be done is to acquire knowledge of the soul. Try to be vegetarian and wake up before the sunrise every day , you will see how much your life and perspective in life will change and read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is.

Find a reason to live. Keep having sex, drinking alcohol and eating junk food, this time with moderation, and learn to enjoy the simple things in life.

You have to realize that some day you will die. Take advantage of your life and try to give a meaning to it before it's too late. Everyone can contribute to eternity with a little grain of sand.
