has not accounted nor made an effort to account for our POW/MIAs?

I am a Viet Nam vet, and I resent our particiaption in the talks since they refuse to account for our brothers left behind! I also objected when Clinton went. I find it horrible that both avoided service in Viet Nam, which is why I voted against them both!

Ford: ended our envolvement without any accountablitlty for our MIA/POWs
Carter : Pardoned those who fled to Canada
Reagan/ Bush 1 did nothing about the pow/mia issue
Clinton: eveaded the draft then visited Viet Nam, no mention of the pow/mias
Bush: enlisted in but was abscent from a lot of the time the Al Guard, to avoid Viet Nam, goes to VIet Nam in support of a free trade agreement with Viet Nam, yet doesn't say anything about our POW/MIA's

It's not uncommon in democrats to compare the war in Iraq to Vietnam about once a week. Like all liberal philosophy, thought ideas and values, you have started with a lie and gone on to embellish the lie. The truth is - Bush said we lost credibility around the world when we abandoned an Ally and the world witnessed the blood bath that followed. Millions of people died for the only crime of supporting the US. Do you think the Jihad crazy Islamo-Fascists would do any differently? Bush offered NO Hypocrisy no Lies. Just a positive, intelligent, evaluation of the facts. Learn from history, or relive it.

You probably weren't born yet, but Jimmy Carter sold out our POWs.
Many of them were still alive then, but not after Carter had talks with Viet Nam.

I understand your view, now here's mine. You would "shoot yourself in the foot" by boycotting a free trade agreement because there were still POA's and MIA's in that country from yours. What have we gained, besides hatred of us, if we do that? We wouldn't have resources that we possibly need.
