terrorist attacks like 9-11, even today its still something that i wont personally forget, also I'm very weary about security eg i always check and check that ive locked the door and windows again even when i know there locked before i leave the house, it might seem like paranoia but im constantly aware of the risks that we face in the world to day, crime, theft, murders ect, those things are constantly on my mind and i aim to minimise those threats towards me, my family and my neighbourhood

I had a boss once tell me "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission". Whenever I have to make a tough decision at work, I think of that. It may not be what's "right" as far as my boss is concerned, but still may be the right thing to do.

When I was a young girl my father took me into the city to see a marching band.. He said girl when you grow up, will you be the savior of the broken, the beaten and the damned? He said will you defeat them, your deamons and other non-believers and the plans that they have made.

When I was 12, my dad caught me kissing the neighbor boy. He freaked out and called me a whore. I'm 40 years old and I will never forget him calling me that.

When my daughter was very young my mother told me to see everything through a childs eyes for my daughter's sake. Now when she hands me a "pretty" rock I look for the beauty that she saw in it.

When my dad was teaching me how to drive he said, "I'm not going to tell you where to go or what to do, just know that my life is in your hands" I wasn't about to let anything happen to him so I was very cautious about everything. It helped me out a lot.

well, this wasn't a positive thing, at least at first, but i once overheard a girl say to her friend (who almost ran into me because she was looking back) "just push her out of your way. she ain't nobody" i was soooo mad! but after i got over the initial anger, i decided that i didn't care what she thought and what she said, because she didn't know the real me. so it actually helped me have more confidence in who i am.
