You have to have the Powerpoint program to open them. If you don't, there is a way to preload a simple viewer into the file or attach it also. But I'm afraid I don't know those instructions. Hopefully, someone else can help with that. Good luck.

The free office suite from http://www.openoffice.org can open them and edit them, unlike the free PowerPoint Viewer from Micro$oft.

Go to downloads .com and look for open office it is free and works just as good if not better than microsoft

Maybe they are too big to recive. In this case you can get your friend to shrink them with PowerShrink Their is a free test version to start.
