I worked with many wonderful people from ages 2 to 45 during an 18 year period.
There were some some good scenes in the movie Forrest Gump, but overall I didn't feel that the main character was given very much respect. For example, showing scene after scene of him running all over the U.S. I took the movie personally, and to listen to other people who watched the movie, and some of their comments about what a goof ball Forrest was, didn't show a true picture of people with mental retardation.
Personal Opinion.
