Absolutely impossible to hear the baby' s heartbeat that early unless you're using an ultrasound machine. Fetal Doppler, even the best ones, can't pick up the heartbeat until about 9 weeks and and many not until 12. A stethoscope won't pick up the heartbeat until right around 20 weeks.

My doctor said at 12 weeks they can hear the heartbeat...so you still have a few weeks before you will be able to. You can still go to the doctor- I went at 5 weeks and again at 7 so they could try to figure out how far along I was. They'll get you started on prenatal vitamins which will be good for you and baby. Goodluck and congrats!

It's hard to hear the heartbeat before your about 12 weeks along. Even at my 12 weeks appointment the doctor had problems finding it. When you are farther along (about 5 months) you can find the heartbeat the best when the baby's back is to your bellybutton. But it all depends on where the baby is!

At this point it might be a little hard to hear it with a stethoscope. you have to go to the doctor asap.

You might have to wiat a little while to hear it, but usually around your belly button....well, around that vicinity.......put your index fingers on your belly button and ly your hands down towards your sides.....then that will give you an estimated area.......just something I learned on my own.
