My Father beats me with a heavy leather belt (and sometimes hits me in the back with the BUCKLE). He does this out of anger, not because I disobeyed. I am a 12 year old boy and the spankings go on once every month, or so. Is this Child Abuse and if so, how much trouble could my Father get in.

This could be an abuse only if he beats you without a reason. If you don't do anything and he beats you it's really a big abuse. I don't know anything about your family, because is the first time I read your question and I feel this is a big problem for you. Why don't you talk with one of your relatives, but if you can't do this just call the police! If you do this your father will get in a big trouble, because he is not allowed to kick his child without a reason. Call the police boy! Bad people must pay for their errors!!!

Yes, this is child abuse. I don't know how much trouble your father could get in, but it is really important to stop the abuse and get help as soon as possible. Please talk to the police and tell them what's going on. They will take care of things.

2. You should tell the authorities about what's going on. As a twelve year old you'd be put into foster care and your father in a jail cell where he ultimately belongs.

Hi hunny.Your Daddy has problems,which is absolutely no excuse for what he is doing to you,but he needs help.Sure,I get angry with my boys,but I would never take my hand or anything else to them..Please Please tell someone,it breaks my heart to think you are going through this.In the UK we have a thing called childline which is a free phone advice line.Do you have that where you live? You should talk to an adult that you trust...maybe a counselor at school or a teacher. If it happens again, call 911 and you will get some help.

awww i really feel for you . yes it is abuse the fact that it is done in anger is a big no no. when done in anger it could get worse.
please talk to someone mom,school,a friends parents? someone though you need to talk and get someone to help you ..

next time he leaves marks, call the police. if someone has seen him beat you like this, call them now. don't worry about how much trouble he will get into.
