I am receiving at least 1 e-mail a day indicating that some foreign national has passed away and left a fortune and his heirs want me to help them claim the money, how, I'm not sure. I'm sure this is a scam but I just wondered if anyone else has received these e-mails and did you inquire as to the legality or request additional information. Most of these e-mails are from Africa or Europe.

Yes! I've gotten one of those from the nephew of a passed-away ruler that hid away a fortune and wanted me to pick the money up.

There is a scam industry in Africa. People that professionally write these messages, send them around and hope to get a return. I think it is positive, as these people are learning a foreign language and the art of writing correspondence that they can use later on in life for something else.

I get them all the time. They would have to be frauds. Lawyers just do not do things that way.
