Right now, I'm thinking about Samantha Murphy's song "At The Laundromat" -- the verses are about all the painful, expensive, and slightly humiliating things she does to look good enough to get a guy, and the chorus is:
After all that
I met him at the laundromat
And it's love, it's love, it's love...
Great song -- a little funny, kinda sexy, even a little wistful and with a GREAT rock structure to it. Listen to it on Samantha's MySpace page in the Sources field.

That she has a couple of kids, probably illegitimate, and living in a cheap apartment, trailer, or with her Mom in a poor neighborhood. Either that, or she's just fresh out of clean clothes because she is too irresponsible or parties too much to pay attention to how many clean clothes she has.
Everyone is prejudiced to a point. But keeping it to yourself, especially around misguided liberals, is the key to looking good.
