I found alot of information on cleveland.com website, other than Cleveland where he lived I'm not hearing much. I also heard he had 4 children on the news then someone from the family quickly called the station and corrected them saying he only had 3. And those 3 were the only ones recgonized at the funeral. If he had any other children I hope they (his family) accepts them. By the way my favorite song by him was "Baby I'm Ready!"

It depends on where you look for information. Radio stations have been doing alot and since the funeral was yesterday, i've seen a lot of stuff on the news. Gerald only has the 3 kids. I think that was just a mistake by the reporter.

I can't decide which is my favorite between Casanova and Pop,pop, pop, goes my mind. Plus I grew up listening to his Dad. My mother is a major O'jay's fan and has all of their albums. Plus I was the only kid walking around my JR High with an O'jay's live in concert t-shirt

I think he is a great singer. There are singers and there are personalities. He lacks the crossover appeal and charisma. Some people have it and some don't. The same in the field of film. There are many great actors and there are the superstars. The superstars aren't necessarily great actors. But they have a great appeal. That is why the studios will pay them 20 million a picture.
Take Madonna. an average singer. Not that good of a range . Janet Jackson is another example. Ronnie Isley is an incredible singer but will neve have the status of let's say a Michael Jackson. Or a Prince.

well, they are talking about it more now than when it happened. but shortly after it happened, so suddenly, his family asked if they could keep things private and not be disturbed during the ordeal of planning the funeral and all that. people were actually, i think, trying to be considerate for a change...shocking, isn't it??

BET showed a whole special on him. I saw it yesterday, it was weird cause I think Jamie Foxx show was supposed to come on but they showed that instead.
