I have been using Palmers Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion on my belly since before I started showing. It is the underneath layer of skin that tears first with stretch marks so there is no real way to prevent them, unless you do not gain a ton of weight. I have previous stretchmarks also but they have faded and you cant even see them anymore. I am 37 weeks and I have only gained 23 lbs and it is all in my belly and I have not one stretch mark. I have seen women go the whole time and not get them at all until they are in labor or the week before. I figured I would get them when my little man dropped but so far so good!

They happen when the skin stretches more rapidly than it can repair itself. Generally the last couple weeks of pregnancy are when the worst apear on the belly, since thats when the baby grows at the fastest rate, often doubling in size in only a matter of 3 weeks.
If your mother has stretch marks you in all liklihood will as well, its genetic.

Wow, you are lucky. I started getting stretch marks around my 3rd month...bad ones. My best friend got them in around the last week of her pregnancy though. Just cross your fingers that you don't get any. But in a way, they are special. They may not be very attractive but they will always be a reminder of the special time you had with your unborn child.

It really depends on your pre-pregnancy size and also your nutrition and water consumption. Consider yourself lucky so far! Moisturize daily (frequently!) to help give your skin more suppleness. Drink LOTS of water! Stay away from caffiene and sugar too. Caffiene will dehydrate you and extra sugar is just plain bad.

Sometimes they never leave (regardless if you've been pregnant or not). They are simply due to the stretching of the skin and some may fade over time.

if you dont see htem now you may see them after you have your baby, but also if your mom had streach marks then you are more than likely to get them too. Good Luck.

I am not and never have been pregnant, but I would assume it is after when you go back to normal. Then you will see how it stretched.

Do the exercises pre and post-natal and you may never have them.
