The guy has shown you adequately that he is in love with you. So it's your turn to decide whether to get connected to him or not and to what extent. You're right in thinking about: is it for love or just for the sake of sex? But you can't solve that problem by staying away from him. You'll pour cold water on his feelings if you keep away. What to do is this: trust him and keep around for some time. Allow him to express himself the way he's doing now, but don't just sit by waiting only to hear him. Probe him. Ask revealing questions, about his intention, your fears etc. If what you want is long term relationship, then talk clearly about this. When you can determine that he thinks along the line you're also thinking, then lat things happen.
