hi i've been using norton antivirus right from it's 2001 version every beta trial and full. i never faced any problem i've celeron 1.7 GHz processor intel 845 GL chipset mother board asus. p4 845gl/gv norton is good right now i am trying to buy norton 2007 but now i am using norton 2006 so i will continue it till the end of this year. about cost i don't enquired about 2007. other antivirus softwares like avg etc are also good but they are not that much user friendly like norton.

i do not think Norton Antivirus is worth buying . To be honest even if it was for free i would not recommend it. There are far better antivirus out there that not only are free but have much better protection.

The cost is in CPU power, memory, and a LOT of garbage running on your system...regardless of the price you pay at the store.
Download AVG or Avast for free. They are under the radar (safer), and run circles around norton. Personally, I prefer Avast.

At present I am using Norton Anti-virus 2006 and it cost me Rs.1650/-and is renewable every year.However the product is Good and your PC is well protected.Worth buying.
