it is around 25 frames per second, each cone and rod in the retina can detect around more but together to get a smooth picture its about 25 frames per second, when we get an adrenaline rush though its about 40 wich is why if your in a fight most things seem in slow motion and you can react much quicker to things

Cinema film was produced to give 25 frames per second, to avoid flicker... so I guess it must be around that sort of timescale. so approx 0.04 of a second.
