Yes, they can make you go to a doctor. They cannot make you accept any form of treatment. Even as a minor, you are a patient, and a patient can refuse treatment. However, I recommend birth control. You may not feel as if you need birth control, but you never know. I AM NOT saying get birth control and start having sex. But you don't know what situations you are going to encounter over the next couple of years. You could decide to have sex at any point, it's not the BEST decision to make, but we all do things we won't be proud of later. It is better to be safe than sorry, and I think your parents have the right idea. I don't think they don't trust you, they just want you protected from pregnancy. Just remember that If you take this advice and get birth control, it does not protect you from STDs, so condoms are a necessity as well.

ok do not listen to these people your parents cannot force you to be examined by a gyno they can drive you there sit in the office with you but the second you tell the gyno you do not want to be looked at she cannot force your legs open nor can anyone force a pill down your throat if your parents are really onto you about this speak with your school counsler and maybe you could talk to your parents toghter they are probably just doing all of this out of concern to many teens are having babies now days and fyi if you are having sex or planning to please do get on birth control and even if your not having sex the pill can be great for things like regulating your period.

Actually because it's your parents and you're under the age of 18, they can. But because you are a human being and you go to a gyno your parents aren't allowed in with you. Especially if it's a family clinic of some sort, it's called patient/doctor confidentiality. So you can just go in and say that you refuse treatment and they legally can't do anything whether your parents want you to or not. You won't be making any friends in the process but hey, it's your body :)

they can make you go, you are under age so even though you should have doctor patient confeitiality, your mom can't go in the room with you and the doctor can't share information about your health, other than to cay that you may need to come again, the only way around them being able to make you go is (and i am not suggesting it) but if you were pregnat that makes you and automaic adult!! i honestly would suggest just giving in and volunterly going in-- the doctor can't tell your parents if you have had sex or anything and birth control really isn't all that bad -- some lower how long your period last some stop it all together, and most get ride of the cramps from your period
good luck

they can make you go, however you'll be treated completely confidental, and your parents will be able t have no access to what went on, although you should probably just go ahead and go because 15 is a good age for your first visit, and if you are having sex birth control would be a great option for you. the first visit is always scary and uncomfortable but i promise you it's not as bad as you think. it's something that everyone goes through with their first visit to a gyno, i was terrified, but in the end it ended up being the best decision for me,

When you grow up and have children wouldn't you want what is best for them. Going to get check ups can save your life! There are so many things they check for and can talk to you about that will educate you on matters of sex and pregnancy. No they cannot force you, but I would really advise you to go. You are young, way too young to have babies and finding a way to prevent that from happening if you are sexually active is the key. Birth control can help with period cramps, with skin problems and mood swings from PMS. And you need to keep in mind how much your parents love you and just want what is best for you, as you would your own child.

Shoot, if my parents offered me to go on birth control when I was fifteen I'd go and get on it! Even if you aren't having sex it's important to be prepared and safe.
Technically they can't make you get on birth control but they can make you see a doctor. If you are against birth control for any reason tell your doctor. I don't believe they (doctors) can put you on BC without your permission of course.
Realize though, if you are having sex and get pregnant it's not your parent's fault. They should have no responsibility to your or that child if you do as they've tried to guide you down the right path to and protect you against pregnancy.
I'd get on the birth control if I were you. While they are lacking trust--you should just do it for yourself!

No they can not MAKE you take anything or go to the doctor. In fact no doctor will write a prescription for something you do not want and will not cooperate with taking? But you should reconsider yourself as a young woman your age birth control is a good idea. But no despite what others say your parents can not force you to take birth control PERIOD!!!!

No, they cannot make you. However, it would be a good idea if you went for your own benefit. Every woman (especially when they become sexually active) should have annual exams by their ob/gyn. You should want to take responsibility for yourself and do it now while your on your parents insurance instead of waiting til your responsible for your own. At age 15, it wouldn't hurt to start birth control so that you are already protected for when you do decide to become sexually active.
Maybe talk to your friends and see if they have gone to a gyn. Inform yourself, do some research on the internet. Hopefully, in the end, you'll want to take care of yourself. Good Luck :)

Yes, they can force you. They are being good parents :)
Are you sexually active, or think you are one that would be? (Please don't be, by the way.) If you are SURE you are not one to have sex, talk to the gyne about the pill. . .there are effects with it that you may not want to deal with. . .blood clots, for one. I was put on the pill for medical reasons at age 31 and I got blood clots around my lungs; it's a risk with the pill. (DO NOT SMOKE!!! This will increase the risk of clots! Google blood clots. . .they can kill you in an instant!!) The dr may say that the risk is small, but the fact is, it's still there. You may want to talk to you parents about not wanting to mess with your hormones, and the pill does just that.
HOWEVER, some hormones that are a little out of wack is MUCH BETTER than becoming pregnant! (Talk about sending your body out of wack!!!!) So, if you think for ONE SECOND that you may be in a situation where some semen may be within an inch of your inner thigh, get on the pill and thank your parents!!
Hope I helped.
