I have tons of relatives, I mean TONS. And me being on crutches (I'm having ankle surgery) and having all those people there,at Thanksgiving, I think It's going to be very rough.

Also when I go back to school, I'm afraid I'm going to get murdered inbetween classes. Kids are going to be staring at me like I've got oranges growing out my nose, they're going to be trying to trip me, and how do I carry my bookbag, and my lunchtray, ect?

I'm thankful It's not a major operation, but the aftermath will be rough, any advice, or tips you can share with me?

I'm sure everyone at Thanksgiving will be very mindful of your condition and give you plenty of room so you don't bump yourself. Hopefully, they'll pay extra attention to you and you won't have to lift a finger to do anything. As far as school is concerned, don't worry about people staring. When I broke my leg my sophmore year, my teachers let me and a friend leave class a few minutes early to beat the crowd so I didn't get banged up. Most teachers are very understanding about that, especially if its a large school like mine was (3000 kids). Good luck with the surgery and Happy Holidays!

I am sorry to hear that you are going to be having surgery this Tuesday I will be sure to pray for you. As far as worring about what other people will think of you don't be true friends will be their to help you in any way they can. If anyone makes fun of you or tries to trip you ignore them they are being rude those kinds of people can make life hard but don't let it get to you for every mean person their is always a good one. Good luck and I hope you have a good Thanksgiving:-)

PS: I will be having surgery on my ankle too I don't know when though:(

well you can ask a friend to carry your books for you as long as your both going to the same class. lol! that is what i did when i had surgery on my feet. also you should not think of others looking at you. just hang around on friends and your be fine! if you had to ask a teacher for help carrying your books and ex.. i had to have a friend help me get around for about six weeks. even if you do not now someone that well ask them if you need help!

i had foot surgery last year.
just ask to leave your classes early, and a friend will be able to help you carry your stuff with you. schools are always really nice about this stuff.
i had to miss spring break, and it really stunk because i also lost a lot of my muscle strength from not being able to use them..
