one option is to freeze the water, shape it into a concave lens shape, polish it till its transparent, and use the disk like a magnifying glass on the match head.

i saw this actually done on myth busters, although it didn't go very well

Zinc + Ammonium Nitrate + Ammonium Cloride
or u could just use some pure sodium. :)
