A homeless person asks you for money?

Well i will give them the money because I see it as poulation control. If you give him money, he will buy booze or drugs with it, and thats ok. Cuz he will kill himself and then you will have one less person asking for money on the street.

I give the homeless money or several times I've run to a fast food restaurant and bought a meal and returned to give it to them. The homeless need random acts of kindness just like the rest of us. They are working and their work is not easy nor one anyone of us would take in exchange for ours. There was a time in my life when I would not give thinking that the money would be spent on liquor, but now I think differently. My gift may become an inspiration that will spur them on to achieve more and if not, they were unable to do so. It is not up to me to decide if they will make a wise decision or if they are worthy.

It is very hard to know what to do sometimes. I had a guy ask us for money to fix a flat. I saw him walking to others asking.

I went across the street later to Taco Bell and he was in there telling them thanks for the free food. They had given him a couple large bags of stuff to feed his 6 kids. I felt he was lying to someone. But even so, you really are at a low when you have to beg for whatever reason, and for that I usually try and give food or some change.

I do hate it though when I see so many people spend a whole day holding signs and begging and I know the local McDonnalds wants help.

It depends. I don't usually carry cash on me; I will, however, buy meals on occasion for some of the people I see everyday in my hometown. I've also bought flowers from a man in a park downtown more than once.

If I have it and I can do so safely, I'll give them a few bucks. Yes, they may buy booze or drugs, but once I GIVE it, it is theirs to do with what they will.

Giving is a lesson in charity.
Receiving is a lesson in gratitude.

The neediest (and sometimes greediest) are our teachers.

Keep yourself safe and remember, UNCONDITIONAL giving will ALWAYS BE RETURNED.

Peace.
