Commercial Driver's License and if you are thinking of getting one and are considering one of the many 'driving' schools that teach you how to drive a big rig and then assure you'll get your license, make sure you check them out thoroughly. There are some very shoddy ones out there, but you still end up with a very high debt. Also, I suggest you really investigate the driving industry and make sure it's something you want to do. It's a very isolated career and not everyone can live that way.

Basically, it's a license for people whose JOB is to drive vehicles around, such as taxi drivers, shuttle drivers, bus drivers, truck drivers, and so on. Since they are on the road more often, and are responsible for more equipment / more lives, they have tougher requirements to pass, such as physical exam (every 2 years in CA), more involved test, tighter restrictions when it comes to tickets (no traffic school for CDL holders), and other restrictions.
