I firmly believe that God does answer prayers that do not conflict with biblical teachings for those who do have a strong belief in the divinity of Jesus. That last requirement does alot of people in however because although many claim they are Christians, they then proceed to just ignore some of His principal teachings (ever hear of "love your enemy"?) thus proving that they do not believe in His divinity at all.
In addition to divine intervention in our lives,God created our brains to answer our prayers through the powerful function of our subconscious minds.Specifically, our subconscious minds accept any repeated thought such as a prayer, positive affirmation or chronic fear,as a command to carry out. Therefore any repeated thought is likely to be manifested in our lives through the creative power of our subconscious minds. This is the best arguement against pornography incidently. The subconscious mind accepts what is viewed as an assignment to carry out.

This question has two answers: yes and no.
A study that comes to mind that investigated whether prayers helps hospitalized people recover faster. There were three groups of hospitalized patients: those who knew they were being prayed for to have a speedy recovery; those who were being prayed for, but did not know they were being prayed for; and those who were not being prayed for.
The Yes Answer:
Those who were being prayed for and knew they were being prayed for recovered faster from their ailments than the other two groups.
The No Answer:
There was no difference in recovery time between those who were being prayed for, but did not know versus those who were not prayed for.
Conclusion:
Prayer by itself will do nothing, if you do not believe it will work (or are not cognizant that it is taking place). However, if you believe it will work, then you may experience a self-fullfilling prophecy, where things will happen in your life that will confirm that the prayer worked.

Sure but not all. Seen a few myself.
Of course, how it becomes reality and how you interpret it, that is the real question.
Interestingly enough, for those in believe in a sentient being, life is less stressful because they have someone perfect in their eyes to believe in to take care of their life.

That is a tough one to answer.. Many Many people insist that prayer does become reality and they supposedly have PROOF that it is so.. On the other hand.. many many people insist to the contrary and they supposedly have tons of proof of their convictions.. Thus.. I do not know...

All that we focus on becomes our reality. Everything we do,say think is a form of prayer. This is called integrity. Be the best that you can be or living in hell. You make the choice it is your freewill.
All is possible when you are connected to Source/God/Allah..........

You bet they can, I will look up a scripture for you. It is so simple, read the bible, obey God, pray daily.
God said "iif a man is in me (if a man believes in Jesus Christ and has fairth in God and believes the bible to be true and reads the bible) and I in him; ask whatever you want in your heart and it will come true.
