I told my girlfriend to please stop talking to her ex, who is a very abusive person, but she kept on telling me that he wasnt like that anymore, and they were just really good friends now, so later on i was suppost to see her in the house, that is when i see her ex and a couple of his friends, talking to her and her ex was grabing her by the arm and stuff, so i got off my car go see whats going on the he pulls her from the arm and throws her in the floor, so i go up to him and i just stick him in the face, and kept on hitting him until his friends came up to me and started jumping me, i got my a** kicked but atleast i knocked him out, so police come and i get arrested, and have to do all these anger management classes and stuff, and this is like the third time i get in a fight because of her, so i decided to break up with her, did i do the right thing, or should i give her another chance?

Legally or morally? This guy intimidates her, and she is YOUR girlfriend not his! Your anger is a normal response. Some goof does the wrong thing, abuse her, then you get the shaft because you defend her! As usual the law is blind to the real perpetrator. So asking me, I'm glad you took him out. As to her, you need to move on. She obviously still cares about this loser so be a better man, and get a better woman and avoid any contact or calls period. Take care!

well since she was your friend, and you really wanted to help her, i think you should give her a chance because even though she always made you in trouble all the time, you still needed to help her and let her KNOW or FEEL that YOU CARE AbOUT HER. And she might thank you and realized that friendship was deep inside your heart.

you did the right thing.

some women/girls can't let go of past realtionships, even if the man/boy was an abuser. in some cases it's even harder because the man has some control over the girl so she feels dependent on him in a way. it's sad.

I think you did brother. she caused you trouble before and she shouldve known better when she was talking to her ex....she didnt care that would be fighting him and get in trouble for the third time for her...so i think way to go ...there are more girls out there that you deserve and help you stay away from trouble..GOOD LUCK

If this is the third time it has happened to you, you need to look more at yourself....no one else. Whether you want to break up with her is not the issue. Your anger is.
