I need it for a book report thing and i have looked ever where! i cant find anything that comes close to saying what it is any where! the closest i have gotten is that it is black staches own swear word type of thing! but I need to know the exact thing! or at least really close! please if you know anything can you tell me??!!

i have looked for the word in every referance i can thin of. inclueding my dictionary, and dictionary.com and all of its off side things on there.

it is obvious you are not Irish ,it is the Irish way of spelling idiot but it does not mean someone that is stupid but rather a normal sane and intelligent person who had just committed a stupid or dangerous act ,we refer to this person as "an awful idiot" pronounced "eejet" with the accent on the e.

I believe that it is a dialect spelling form of the word "idiot".
