Does anyone know approximatly how many square feet of concrete this is? Also, does anyone know approximately how much square feet you get out of 30lb bag of quick drying concrete or 50lb concrete? Thanks

Even if the dam would hold the water back, you are going to have a lot of problems with cracks regardless of how much rebar you put in it. A stretch of concrete that long is going to crack. Just look at any drive way. There are typically expansion joints or control joints every 10 to 20 feet.

You need someone with experience to help you design a dam that will hold together.

If you plan on making this out of bagged concrete you are gonna be there for a year or so just mixing the stuff.. a dam that size would take over 70 yards of concrete... The average concrete truck holds a max of 10 yards...Plus a dam only 5-6 inches thick will not hold back water that will expand 55ft wide... A dam 55ft wide and 6-7 ft high will hold hundred of thousands of gallons of water... Water weighs 7.7lbs per gallon... Do you think your dam will hold back that much weight?...I don't think so...

I hope you're really not going to have a lot of water behind this dam. From an engineering standpoint, you're going to annoy a lot of people downstream when it breaks.
