ok,now that is a beautiful idea.if you are writng this story for children so i myself as a child would love to read a book about a dragon who had the color of his his furcoat really golden.you can make it like this- a dragon with fur as gold as the freshly dugout gold from mines which shines in the sunlight and makes the sun look plain in front of this glorious dragon or if you are writing an adult book the colour of the dragon can be as blue as the moonlight or as green as a chameleon.yea ,or u can make a combination between red and green on the dragon.i knw myself that would look glorious.
all the best!
i will read ur book!!

A brown and gray and a touch of black combination. Also a black Dragon can be as good as you wish it to be.

well since different coolors can have different meanings, depending on what "personality" you give your dragon you might want to chose a color that goes along with that, here's a good website that can give you an idea of some of the meanings behind some colors

what a great idea ! well, let's see now. if he's going to be a good dragon, maybe silver fur. or white or golden. or a mixture of all three. gee, this is a hard one. yeah, a mixture of all three. anyway, that's my idea. lots of luck on your book.........and don't forget to put a black mule in it.
