Hello. I live in that area. Davenport to be exact. You have to ways to go. Either the Dav airport or here http://www.qcairport.com/. Quad cities is separated by the Mississippi river with the I-74 bridge going over it. So its only about an 15 min or less drive over to Iowa. Pretty much a straight drive. The QC airport is really your best bet. here is another site. Not sure where you want to go in east Iowa, but the Quad cities has lots to offer.. http://www.visitquadcities.com/

My experience is that it is usually cheaper to fly into Moline (MLI). Of course, technically this is Illinois, but it is right across the river in the Quad Cities area (Davenport). I almost always find Cedar Rapids (CID) more expensive and often much more. I have no experience with Waterloo. I've also seen good rates into Des Moines. Remember, these days with gas prices so high that the cost of driving a bit further can be offset by a small increase in airfare to get closer.

You might check with some of the local synagogues; most have a small shop where you can purchase ritual items. Also, check in grocery stores to see if they have a kosher foods section - sometimes you can find Sabbath and Hanukkah candles there. Good luck - I'd offer you my spare set, but Iowa is a LONG way from Seattle! Chag Sameach!!

Best thing to do to find out the fares would be to go to your favorite flight booking service, (such as Travelocity or Expedia) and see what the fares are to different possible destinations and from different points of origin based on the dates you want to fly.
I'd do it for you but you didn't say what your originating city would be or when you want to fly.
