1) Doesn't play WMA.
2) Doesn't play OGG.
3) Isn't cool anymore.
4) Overpriced.
5) Poor build quality on some models.
6) Can't easily replace the battery.
I actually like being able to replace the battery in my CD player. It means I can carry a rechargeable battery in my pocket and just switch batteries when the one in the player dies.
Anybody who says they had to "buy batteries every week" for their player is an idiot and should have bought rechargeables years ago.
And for the record, my Creative Zen Micro mp3 player has a replaceable battery. How come iPods still don't?

No FM Tuner, No Voice Recorder, Sound Quality is not as good as other DAP's, Equalizer blows.
Convenience, Stylish, with some tweaking of my MP3's using MP3 gain the equalizer works a little bit better. iTunes is easy to use and has loads of content available. The iPod has a smooth interface that is easy to navigate.
