It is normal for a time frame to long to hang on to those things that remind of us that one we loved and who has passed away .... for as long as they seem near we do not have to realize the loss ---
keeping nearby pictures of, articles, personal items of for a periold of time that seems comfortable to you - is your personal way of acknowleging ......
but if it tends to seem that you are however having trouble letting go of any of these items within a couple of years - then may need to seek some form of counseling to help.
There is nothing extra wrong with you - sometimes being able to express release requires help.
Am sure she was a special lady and the times you shared were unique and appreciated.
Be thankful you were able to have this time regardless of the length when there are many who are unable to have such.
God bless you!!

It only becomes a problem if this keeps you from accessing other forms of comfort or leads to your isolating yourself.
You are still grieving, and it is okay to look for comfort any place you can find it. But don't give up on friends, other family members, your studies, or anything that, in the long run would really make you feel better and help you move on.

It's ok, as long as you don't try to communicate with her and practice spiritsm or something like that. You loved your mother very much and you are still thinking of her. Watching this show and listening to this music brings your thoughts back to the good times that you both shared, so it gives you comfort. When I see a Hybicus flower it reminds me of my mother because she had so many of them and she would show me their beauty. Also certain scents remind me of her, and music and many other things. Just do not idolize any one person, because God is the only one that deserves such praise, but continue to love your mother and enjoy the fine memories that she lrft you while she was with you....KECK

This is not weird because when someone loses a special person who they used to spend a lot of time with will miss them after they die. The reason for you doing all the things she used to do is to make you feel her existence.

Hi,
You know seeing things that my late Father and I used to do together brings back pleasant memories. I can be a Hammer that he had! So there is nothing unusual about your situation. There are probably other things that will trigger the same response also if you think about it also. I think it is perfectly healthy.
Bye for now.

Yes, it is very normal for you to want to have something close to symbolize her. this is like me I lost my great grandmother it made 3 years the 11 and I keep her memory alive by trying to love like she did. So what you can also do to feel better is to do something that will carry on her memory for a long time.Stay strong and keep your head up.

As long as it doesn't interfere in your life, it is normal to want to have that same feeling that she emoted in you. I'm sorry for your loss. Good Luck!!!!
