OK, I finally got it connected, it will stay connected for about 5 seconds and then say limited or no connectivity, in details it says you can't connect because the main computer didn't sign your computer an address.

Not unless you wrote it down somewhere so you could remember it. You might be able to scan for IP addresses then connect to the access point and reset the password but probably you will have to reset the whole thing and start over.

Try this, connect an Ethernet cable (cat 5 or rj-45, basically the OTHER cable besides a USB cable) into your router, then the other end into your computer.

Then click, start -> run -> type cmd press enter -> type ipconifg -> WRITE DOWN THE NUMBER LISTED UNDER DEFUALT GATEWAY -> take this number and into your browser address bar type http://numberyouwrotedown -> enter your user name/password for router (usually the user name is blank and the password is admin). Then look under wireless security settings (you'll have to LOOK, every router is different), it should say something about either encryption or wireless security, and that is around where you should be able to find your key, or make a new one.

If you already have a home network set up, all you need to do is open up the network connections, there should be a tab, add computer to the network. You will need a thumb drive, follow the directions in the program, it will tell you when to insert the thumb drive. The main computer will transfer the wep code for you, good luck
