I tend to agree with you.

Although I no longer use acid, about 15 years ago I consumed it like it was candy. I found that (used in a responsible manner with a rational, scientific approach) LSD increases certain aspects of intelligence, allows for integration of disparate facets of personality, and reveals the constricting and limiting nature of language.

However, I also see many hidden (and some not-so-hidden) dangers of prolific LSD use. I know many people that turned use into abuse. The measure between use and abuse is personal discipline and responsibility. It's all right to let yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back.

Cannot agree as it is a generalised grandstanding sweeping statement that ignores all of those who have been damaged as a result of its use.

I used to smoke cannabis ~ sometimes often, at other times rarely. What struck me was that the effects I got were really interesting on all my sensory input areas, and that 'enough' was 'enough to enjoy what I was experiencing. However, Others about me were simply seeming to 'smoke it because it was there' and getting wasted to the point of oblivion ....and how can you enjoy Oblivion ...!

The only personal side effects I experienced was the idea that I was going to be 'shot,' by a sniper, while sitting in my living-room. Where this thought came from.....!

My cannabis use did in some respects cause a 'change,' but only because I realised that, 'if I could experience what I did while under the influence, then where did the ability to experience them go when not influenced by them?'

There was a dysfunction in me that needed addressing.

Any substance is DANGEROUS when not used 'properly,' (under medical supervision).

Any substance can become 'addictive ~ to the right person.'

Some years ago, a very healthy, athletic guy died as a result of his intake of 'carotene' (from the humble carrot). His liver overdosed on it, it just couldn't process the sheer quantity of it he was drinking and eating ...and his skin was an 'orange' colour too.

Just remember, 'it is possible to drown in milk.'

I have heard too many bad stories about LSD. Some people do not recover after taking it and it scars them long afterwards. The human 'ego' is not a bad thing but necessary as the ego is to do with reality something that good people have to deal with every day.

If you want a drug try ecstasy, but only once in a while, for enlightenment.

I remember something about the US military doing experiments on members of the military. They were given LSD and suffered major permanent problems. It was a documentary.

The only "true experience" you had while on LSD was one very long delusion! You did not have any "revaluations."

It is unfortunate that you do not see your altered state for what it was. Just that, and escape from reality. It was NOT a time of heightened lucidity!

Mind altering substances have been used for thousands of years to seek communion with another realm, Who is to say your experience was not real, but a different perspective. Glad to see so many just say no people have such open minds.

Many years ago I had wonderful experiences with it and know that it made the way I see things better.

Most nutters in the looney bin whose minds were destroyed by these drugs will agree with you. Still they will soon be dead just like you will be. My friend decided she could fly off a high rise and jumped.
Her little girl still asks why.

Thats pretty much the conclusion I came to.I'm still doubtful that 'bad' acid even exits, just a bad situation or soul dealing with it.
Glad your experience was as beautiful as mine.
Namaste, God :D

At university, one of my dearest friends was given some at a party, he thought he could fly and jumped off a third floor balcony to demonstrate. My only consolation was that he died happy.
What a dreadful waste of a lovely young man.
