Keep your computer clean from Internet web pages, remember that every time you visit an Internet site it gets stored on your computer and as you get more pages stored it makes your RAM memory work harder and also HARD DRIVE.... OK so for a simple clean up on your Internet browser go to tools then Internet options on the general tab look for browsing history then click on the delete button a new window pops up there you have choice to delete the temporary Internet files, cookies and history... there's also a few more choices but that will effect how you browse as far as form information and passwords which actually doesn't need to be deleted cause it doesn't take up too much space... theres also a more thorough way to clean temporary files which you can click on the windows start button and then go to accessories and look for system tools from there select Disk Cleanup this will take a few minutes once it opens you will see different options to clean your hard drive and it shows you how much space its taking up then just click OK to delete happy browsing ;)

Clearing your internet Cache from time to time will help to clear out un-used files. But if you visit the same sites over and over you dont want to be cleaning it out, the files are stored to make accessing them quicker, so not storing them will not speed up browsing.

I would definatly recommend Opera over firefox. Personally i like IE, but I dont get spyware :) Using Tabs is a personal preferance, i dont like them, some people do.

Disabling images/multimedia will have the greatest impact, not downloading those extra few thousand bytes (most images are much bigger than the page they're on) will help.

If your on Broadband you're most likely being slowed down by your computer spec.If your computer in general is slow you need to look at ways of fixing that (defragmenting is a good example, also consider getting more RAM). And if its not your computer, you just need faster ineternet. On Crucial.com you can scan to see how much memory you have and can support. With RAM, the more the merrier :)

Lastly, make sure your spy and adware free. Tools like Spybot and Adaware can help with that. Both use up your bandwidth to send/recieve data which you dont even want.

Try a browser such as opera or firefox. Both give you better tabbed browsing then internet explorer 7 - and tabbed browsing really is the way to speed things up.
