What did Bush do? lower back in June he made a important speech outlining his dedication to kin drilling. it is all it takes. At that component the speculators who have been actually banking on the fee of oil persevering with to extend figured the celebration replaced into over and commenced dumping their shares. value dropped like a rock. persons will inform you that it replaced right into a shrink in call for. incorrect. call for were dropping for months if no longer years and the fee replaced into nonetheless going up. The power of the dollar? Nope. same tale. What did take place replaced into that OPEC's greatest client replaced into making a dedication to take their business enterprise someplace else. you would be surprised what a service will do to maintain his greatest client. be conscious too that as quickly as the democratic congress surpassed their ability bill that certainly extra suitable the regulations on kin drilling over and above what they was, the fee spiked lower back, however the president had already burst the bubble and the speculators had already moved directly to different commodities. I have not any thought what everyone seems to be asserting approximately Obama. as far as i will tell that guy has in no way finished something approximately something. Oh yeah, he walked on water and introduced the lifeless lower back to existence. I forgot approximately that one.

Bush doesn't have a thing to do with oil prices. Prices went down prior to the election to help the Republicans then they went back up. Now they've gone down a little, but don't worry they'll be back up again before the Christmas holidays are over unless people stop driving.

I don't remember saying Bush would raise prices.
I remember, in fact, stating that I didn't care WHY the prices dropped, as long as they did. I wouldn't attribute the fall to Bush. That if it rose again after the election I'd be suspicious but I'm still happy the prices fell.
But the way you and people like you generalize, it seems that you know me better than you know myself.
(oh and next time... post a link to where you got the info)

I don't where you live, and I don't give a damn about oil prices, but the cost of gasoline has risen more than 25 cents a gallon in the Seattle area. Let's see these lower oil costs translate into lower pump prices. Bush wouldn't have any say so in any of that anyway. It's stickily up to his handlers, and I have a feeling they want to be pals with the new guys on the block.

What kills me is that Americans will camp out for 5 days to spend 600 dollars on a damn game, then whine about the price of gas.
Like Don King said "only in America".

Libs, you guys SERIOUSLY need to do your own research instead of buying into left-wing rhetoric. But then, you might not want to, because most who do that become conservatives! XD
Here's the facts:
1) President Bush has nothing to do with the price of oil or gasoline
2) Most of the cost of a gallon of gasoline goes to production and transport of the product
3)Another percentage of the price goes to the federal gas tax, which is set by congress
4) Another, larger percentage (about fifty cents to the gallon here in Michigan), goes to the STATE and is set by the state legislature and governor.
5) Gas companies "obscene profits" equal $.09 PER GALLON.
6) Most of the "obscene profits" of gas companies come from the crap they sell in their convenience stores.
Hope that's simple enough.

Prices would have gone up if the Oil Slick Party had won. Now the oil companies are afraid of what the democratic majority will do to them if they gouge us any more.

sometimes it just amazing how these either uneducated or outright stupid people can come up with this stuff, being so BLIND. Dude whats the price at the pump? you know also who knows whats going on behind closed doors, we do know when the Republicans had full control we had record high prices, we can not argue with that. I am quite sure the Dems are at least starting to try to get prices down, but they really dont have the 2/3rds majority to do stuff fast, but they can slow the massive bleeding now

yes but it went up even before 9/11 when bushwhack first started to run for president and i still remember when Clinton sold some of the strategic reserves to counter it which pissed off those oil jerks! and i remember when Clinton was in office it was double digits like BELOW 99 CENTS! AND NOT 2 PLUS DOLLARS! even though the terrorist bombed the wtc before! which brings up the question if the terrorist used enough explosives to bring down the wtc back in 93 and it still stood then why did they come down on 9/11 even though they where built to withstand an airplane crash?...!... huh!?
