Can i switch sim cards with another phone?

My phone is a motorola v170 and the phone i want to switch with is a nokia 6010 the sim card fits but when i turn it on it asks for a pin code how do i figure out what the pin code is?

most likely your nokia 6010 is 'locked' to the previous provider, you need to unlock first

It is either a PIN which you set on your old phone, but maybe you forgot it. If not that, then get in touch with Motorola and ask them what the PIN is on your old sim.
