When challenging another player head on, NEVER back away from the other player. You'll invariably get hit in the face when they shoot or try a long pass. Always advance fast and try to get as close as possible when you have to challenge them for the ball. It is hard for the ball to have enough momentum when you're right on the player with the ball.

Pressure is more likely to make them miss, even if you never touch the ball. Put on the pressure, use your shoulders, and you probably won't get hit by the ball.

Nothing except for REAL Mexican food!!!! just kidding, yes, this past weekend was so exciting... That Tigres vs Mty game (Mty scored 2 goals that were ANULADOS by bad calls), Cruz Azul beating Atlante with now resurrected (furbolisticamente) Jimmy Lozano with a GOLAZO and my dear and beloved Puebla de la Franja vs Santos (with THAT GOAL on the 93:58 of time) brought me to the edge of the heart attack!!! It's all about the pride man, you can tell that players would rather die en la cancha than get booed when the game is over. When players play, coaches coach, fans support, and referees make no mistake (or even when they make them) you can just thank our futbol. And, su majestad el gol, se hizo presente in all the games... what else can we ask for? Let's do not get enough and wait for the next week to come: Chivas @ Veracruz (can a desperate team take the invicto a las Chivas?), Cruz Azul-America (el clasico joven), Atlas - Pumas (a correr, a meter goles), and Tigres - Puebla (all games involving teams in el temible Descenso should be worth to watch, they are playing a 2-3 million a game if a franchise is about 20 million)

It's hard to give tips how to play a sport, but this is the advice that has worked best for me: be aggresive. If the ball is anywhere near you, run to it. Do not be afraid to knock some people down. If you lose the ball, sprint after it and get it back.

I forgot who said this quote, but it is true, "Soccer is 50% skill, 50% aggresion, and 100% determination."
