In physics, buoyancy is the upward force on an object arising from the displacement of the fluid (i.e., a liquid or a gas) in which it is fully or partially immersed. This force enables the object to float or to at least to appear lighter. Buoyancy is important for many vehicles such as boats, ships, balloons, and airships

In physics, buoyancy is an upward force on an object immersed in a fluid (i.e. a liquid or a gas), enabling it to float or at least to appear to become lighter. If the buoyancy exceeds the weight, then the object floats; if the weight exceeds the buoyancy, the object sinks. If the buoyancy equals the weight, the body has neutral buoyancy and may remain at its level.

There are three types of buoyancy.

Positive where the object will float.

Neutral. where the body will hover or can be pushed up or down.

Negative where the body will sink.

All three are used by submarines and divers to control their state. A submarine/diver will be positively buoyant on the surface. Then go to negative buoyancy to dive. When they get to the level they wish to be at they then go to neutral buoyancy.

The buoyancy is given by Archimedes'law. If a corpse is immerged in a liquid he undergoes a push equal to th weight of liquid deplaced

one best example of buoyancy is the ship floating in the water. something that the objects float or immersed in fluid.

the upthrust or upward force exerted by the fluid when a body is wholly or partially immersed in it.

It equals the weight of the fluid displaced by the immersed body.
