Don't panic! You're not meant to know who the U.N. Owens are ... they are Unknown!!! Like all Agatha Christie novels, it's a whodunit ... which means you have to work out "who" has "done" the crime ... like a sort of puzzle. Clearly, U. N. Owen seems to be behind the series of murders ... but who is he, or she? Watch out for clues as you read along ... but if you don't guess correctly, (and as the story is one of her best you probably won't), then don't worry ... being tricked by the author is all part of the fun. I first read this book when I was about eleven or twelve, and I thought the plot was stunning! Stick with it ... you won't be sorry!

If I tell you who the Owens are, it will spoil the rest of the book for you.

Two clues :

1. Think about the full name U.N. Owen..........???
2. There are only 10 people on the island

If you really can't be bothered to read the book (and I'd stick with it, it is one Agatha Christie's cleverer plots), then have a look at the two links below which will explain all, but also give you the ending.
