Would you rather absorb a punch, or just move out of the way? Say that if you did absorb the punch you could hit back, but if you just moved you would have to walk away. This seems to apply to our everyday living.

DODGE AT THE LAST MICROSECOND

When my mum told me, years ago, to just stay out of the bully's way, she was in fact giving me bad advice. There's a problem with yielding to avoid violence. If you move out of the way, you have accorded the other fellow with a higher social rank than you have. You've agreed that he is better than you are, more entitled to the right of way (and to any other good thing) than you are.

And anybody who sees you give way to him will form the opinion that this is how things are supposed to be: he's the boss, you're the servant. If you don't mind being a slave and having to lick the mud off other people's boots on demand, then I guess that your choice will be to move out of the way.

But if you want to be respected, then you must fight for respect, at least occasionally. If you want to be accepted as a full member of society, then you have to prove that you can enforce your rights to a degree. And it's OK for your mates to help you when you go about winning that respect. People might gripe about it for a bit, but in the end all that will matter is who won and who lost.

The worst thing about political correctness is that White people, such as myself, can get into big trouble whenever we forget that other races have been officially elevated into "master" status and that Whites are officially expected to move out of the way. This is why other races have the presumed superior status and can use us White people as doormats whenever they feel like it.

It's why the government didn't act when Lebanese punks beat up volunteer lifeguards at Cronulla, but did react when White people went on a protest march a few days later. It "reacted" by arresting the protest leaders while the Jewish media, all over the world, tried to make Aussies look like the world's biggest racists. Hardly a word was said about the Lebanese gangs' beating the lifeguards, or stealing other people's property from beaches, or harrassing or raping Aussie girls.

When you "move out of the way" for too long, the world starts to disparage you as a person, and you lose rights. White people have moved out of the way too much for too long, and, as the saying goes, the chickens are coming home to roost.

The amount of money spent on my mouth and teeth would more than encourage me to get the heck out of the way!
