You don't need to ponder about such a scary scenario. I can say with certainty that the Indian Communists won't ever come to power with a majority of their own. Even the communists don't dream of such a possibility. They are far more comfortable riding piggy back on the major political parties and staying at the fringes of power in the union government. That way they can enjoy the benefits of power without sharing the responsibility. They are good opposition material, hardly good administrative stuff. So no chances of India turning into Russia for better or for worse.
