No the silk will be ruined and the dress will be a misshapen rag.
Bring it to the dry cleaners and save it for a fancy occasion next time that will be worth the cost of dry cleaning.

Don't put it in the machine at all. That'll ruin it completely. You could get the dry clean at home systems like Dryell. If there's a stain, you should take it to the cleaners otherwise it should be okay if you wash by hand. Cold water is probably best. Just dunk/swish it in the water with a little detergent & rinse. You could hang to dry but that might stretch the dress so I recommend laying it flat to dry (on a few fluffy towels &shape it).

I have been in the dry cleaning business for over 25 years and have washed a lot of silk that says dry clean only. I don't usually wash them in a washer though. I hand wash them with a liquid detergent and let them drip dry. Baby detergent is the gentlest. Really hard to say since I can't see it, but all silk is usually easy to press with a steam iron. A lot of fabrics that say dry clean only can be washed, but you need to know what you're doing so you won't ruin it. The dry cleaning stuff for the dryer is good to use, but not good on hard stains I have found out.

Yes, I wash my 100% silks. By hand with gentle soap. Rinse well with cool water and roll up in a towel to squeeze out moisture. Hang dry and press when dry.
I'm allergic to dry cleaning chemicals and was told there are many fabrics you can hand wash. Even cashmere!

Bad idea. You'd be better off getting one of those "dry clean at home" bags from the grocery store. It's not as good as the cleaners, but it won't ruin your clothes. Washing machine will definitely mess your gear up! Doesn't matter how "gentle" the cycle.

DRY CLEAN ONLY means just that, anything else will ruin your silk dress. You can purchase a home-kit called DRYEL at the grocery store (near the laundry detergents) that works in your dryer at home, it's inexpensive and works well for light soil. For heavier soil, I'd recommend a good dry cleaner in your neighborhood.

I wouldn't suggest it.
If you can't take your dress to the dry-cleaners, try getting a dry-cleaning kit from a department store and using that.
Good luck!
