We are a family with 3 children aged 8 13 and 16. Last year we went to Majorca and stayed at a place called Alcudia Pins Hotel. for 2 weeks.
We normally stay in a villa in Menorca so were a bit apprehensive of a 'package holiday'.
It cost about £3000 for 2 weeks in August. and you've guessed it best holiday ever! Tell you why:-
1. Acommodation was 4 star standard cleaned every day.
2.Beach pure sand 7 kilometers long.
3.Water taxi boats call every hour and you just get on, from your beach, they take you to some other cracking resorts and bring you back.
4.The main thing for the kids - the entertainment in the evening was outside, a stage show every night, drinks to the table, kept everyone happy till gone mid night.
5.Great big swimming pools and the sea was shallow and very flat / clean with sun loungers all the way along under umbrellas. You pay i think it was 3 euros a day per sun lounger.
6. Food great recommend 'The Underground' great all day menu for set price , but really good food - and my family are very hard to please in that respect. Nothing was average all very well prepared every night. This was about 7 euros a head (perhaps 10 i cant quite remember now but very reasonable.
We are going back next year you will seriously love it!!

My worst holiday was in the Alps, beautiful scenery, but the people I went with spoilt it a bit. As I was pregnant I did not ski, and there is little else to do in the alps other than play Pictionary and charades.
My best family holiday was in Cornwall with my parents, I was eight. So much history, scenery is good, the weather tends to be alright. We went to Mevagessy.
Butlins with my own children was good for the kids, they loved it, plenty to do come rain or shine, not so great for the parents tho unless you are going to take a babysitter.
My bestest holiday ever was with my husband touring the Norfolk coast with nothing but a three man tent. Our most memorable time was when we decided to set out at 9pm and try to find somewhere to pitch. It was dark, so we was not too sure where we had ended up until the morning, when we were rudely awoken by a big black dog after only 1hr sleep due to the numerous cars and noises. We awoke to find we had pitched out tent on the only patch of sparse green in the middle of a car park.
My point, it does not matter where you go really, it is what you make of it. Happy holidays 4 next year

I had the best holiday of my life in Antalya in Turkey. The hotel Dedeman Park was 100 yards from the Mediterranean, the people were friendly and it was inexpensive. I had a young Russian companion at the time and we went to waterfalls, caves etc and she went paragliding and I chartered a yacht for a cruise for the two of us.
We found some superb restaurants and I cannot recommend it highly enough - especially as I didn't see any fellow Europeans aside from the Turks during the 11 days. Not that I don't like them, but a real holiday is being away from your own kind!

my best family holiday was in hawaii where we all hung out at the beach and saw most of the climates of the world on the big island. (i think it's only missing 2 out of something like 11--one is tundra, and i can't remember the other.) if u like nature it's good, but the best part was that we were all so relaxed and doing nothing. it depends what kind of person you are, really....on the big island you can do tons of adventure things but you can also discover beaches with nobody on them and just hang there and fall alseep. the black sand beaches rock! you can take a helicopter to the volcano kiluea. (got me and my sis sick, though...but pretty views.)
the absolute worst for me were those vacations where there was either too much happening at once or nothing happening at all. i don't know how you feel but i hate places where there are too many people to enjoy what you see. don't go to someplace like...um...Nice in France where there are a million bagillion people on the beach.
good luck!

A holiday photo is meant for two things: as a memoir for the time spent on the activity and secondly as the recording of the place you are holidaying. So make sure to include the landscape, mood and activities must be the part of photograph where sou are taking or getting photograph. Generally people take close ups on holiday emphasizing themselves only. But holiday photographs mean the memory including the place ar activity you are involved.

Try getting a cheap flight to mexico and get chicken buses around the country (and neighbouring countries..if you're brave). That way you pay local people for food, accomodation and travel when you are there. You can so much out of central american countries.. those beaches (my goodness..!) the jungle, ancient civilisations (discover pyramids in jungles)...monkies throwing things at your from the trees! Sunrises and sunsets from heaven. Sailing, horse ridin in the mountains, swimming in caves. Easy main language to pick up (and safe country if you stick to Mexico)...what an adventure. Surely beats a resort. Can you imagine what memories your children and yourself will come away with..priceless!

South Africa is just gorgeous, but gets really crowded around holiday time.
Mozambique was the best. Everything is cheap in price, but great quality. Nice hotels, beautiful beach all year round.
Don't go to Zimbabwe right now, I wouldn't.
